It was an honour to accept the invitation to be the founding Chairperson of the HLCT.
As Chief Executive Officer of Specialist Services Medical Group I was acutely aware of the need for a treatment option for patients in the Hawkesbury District.
Thanks to the hard work by my fellow trustees and support from the Richmond Club we were able to see that eventuate.
The Trust is continuing to support the Oncology Unit at the Hawkesbury Hospital financially and providing support for other community organisations in the district that work tirelessly to help those in need.

I was delighted to take on the role of Trustee for HLCT when approached by Richmond Club as my sister who lived in the Hawkesbury with her young family was diagnosed with cancer and sadly passed away in 2002.
By accepting the position of Founding Trustee and focusing on getting the Oncology Unit up and running at Windsor Hospital has enabled me to leave a legacy to my sister and inspire hope in the hearts of all patients which is only possible by the continuous support of the Hawkesbury community.

I know the life-changing difference a local Oncology Unit can make in peoples’ lives.
I enjoy the opportunity of supporting this charity. I’m keen to see the further development of its services and ensure the people of the Hawkesbury can be treated and supported in their local community.

Graeme has been a Hawkesbury resident for over 50 years and been instrumental in organising functions to support a variety of charities throughout the district.
